Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, August 21, 2019 – Nutrigroupe, a Canadian leader in grading and marketing table eggs and their derivatives, is proud to announce new egg farmers have become equity partners in Supreme Egg Products, the company’s business unit specializing in the distribution of pasteurized liquid egg products, which operates out of Etobicoke, Ontario. These new shareholders will also acquire a stake in Vitoeuf, a Saint-Hyacinthe sister plant of Supreme Egg Products that processes and markets ovo products.
“This additional investment will support Nutrigroupe’s growth at the national level by increasing synergy between its business units and reinforcing the farmer-owned business model we strongly believe in,” said Serge Lefebvre, President of Nutrigroupe. “These new shareholders will help the group develop its processing activities and support the distribution of processed products within the agribusiness, food services and consumer sectors.”
Frank Femia and Phil Carnovale remain part of Supreme Egg Products Inc. and welcome this new ownership group to the company.
Nutrigroupe is comprised of seven major Egg Farmer business units and is recognized as the only producer-owned entity in Canada to distribute eggs and derivative products while adhering to the highest standards in every area: quality, innovation and respect for clients, employees and the environment.
