Saint-Hyacinthe, August 20, 2026<\/strong> \u2013 Lovo and construction company Frare Gallant held a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony today to mark the official start of construction on Lovo’s Industrial Egg Campus.<\/p>\n

Located on a site of over 600,000 square feet in the Saint-Hyacinthe industrial park, adjacent to Lovo’s existing plant, the Industrial Egg Campus will include a new grading plant covering more than 200,000 square feet, nearly three times the size of the current facilities. The $100 million project will enable Lovo to support its growth, expand its processing capacity, and continue developing innovative food solutions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Today, we’re laying the groundwork for a project that will transform the way we innovate and grow,” says Lovo CEO S\u00e9bastien L\u00e9veill\u00e9<\/strong>. “The Industrial Egg Campus represents a major investment in our future and in that of Qu\u00e9bec’s agri-food industry. With Frare Gallant’s expertise, our teams’ dedication, and our farmer-owners’ support, we’re bringing to life a bold vision that will let us further develop the food that people need, right here in Qu\u00e9bec.”<\/p>\n

In addition to a next-generation grading plant, the Industrial Egg Campus will include an egg-focused experimental kitchen, multidisciplinary workshop spaces, a secondary and tertiary food processing facility, and new administrative offices.<\/p>\n

As project partner and general contractor, Frare Gallant will draw on its recognized expertise in developing and constructing complex industrial infrastructure. Through this collaboration, the partners will realize their shared vision of building a modern, sustainable, and high-performance facility capable of supporting Lovo’s growth for years to come.<\/p>\n

“Being chosen to build this campus is a great source of pride for us,”<\/em> says Frare Gallant president John Frare<\/strong>. “Our role is to translate Lovo’s vision into high-performance facilities tailored to its current and future needs. The project will help drive Lovo’s growth and Saint-Hyacinthe’s economic vitality, as well as expand Qu\u00e9bec’s agri-food industry and strengthen our food autonomy.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The start of construction is a new milestone for the Industrial Egg Campus and was made possible by several partners who are working together to bring the project to fruition.<\/p>\n

The new grading plant is expected to take about two years to build. The campus will then be expanded gradually over the following few years as its various components are rolled out. The project will bolster the Saint-Hyacinthe region’s economic vitality by generating significant construction activity and strengthening Lovo’s presence in Qu\u00e9bec’s agri-food capital.<\/p>\n

Lovo and Frare Gallant would like to acknowledge the contribution of their key partners, architectural firms ADSP and JCFA, who have expertly guided the project since its earliest design phases.<\/p>\n
