Your main responsibilities :
- Coordinate, schedule, and supervise production teams operating processing and packaging equipment;
- Ensure production plans are executed efficiently while meeting volume, quality, and downtime targets;
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues quickly;
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC, CFIA, OHS);
- Monitor sanitation, allergen controls, and production conditions to maintain quality standards;
- Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
- Support and maintain cleaning programs and hygienic production environments;
- Train, coach, and support employee development, onboarding, and performance management;
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and ensure procedures are followed and up to date;
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first work environment;
- Track KPIs, prepare production reports, and manage timecards and payroll entries;
- Communicate priorities, issues, and expectations clearly across teams and shifts.
Desired profile :
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in food manufacturing or a similar production environment;
- Post-secondary education is an asset or equivalent experience;
- Experience with health and safety practices, incident investigations, and corrective actions;
- HACCP certification or willingness to obtain;
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience with timecard review, payroll systems such as Kronos, and timekeeping administration;
- Working knowledge of ERP or production systems such as SAP (asset);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office tools;
- Practical understanding of production equipment and process flow for troubleshooting;
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to lead investigations and drive corrective actions.
