In the 1970s, two groups of producers intent on serving the Maritime market started Sunny Glen Eggs in New Brunswick and Archibald Farms Products in Nova Scotia, two centralized egg grading stations. As the market rapidly evolved, they joined forces to build Maritime Pride Eggs, the largest egg grading facility in the Maritimes, in Amherst, Nova Scotia, in 2007.
